Kurzbiographie
Hooshmand Alizadeh war Marie Skłodowska-Curie Stipendiat und Senior Postdoc-Forscher am ISR in Wien. An der Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, Iran, erwarb er einen MA (1995-1998) und promovierte 2006 an der Newcastle University, UK, mit der Arbeit The design principles of traditional urban cores in Iran. Vor seinem aktuellen Forschungsaufenthalt am ISR war er Associate Professor of Urban Design an der Universität Kurdistan, Iran. 2006-2016 war er Vorstand des Department of Urban Planning and Design und ab 2015 auch Vizedekan für Forschung an der Faculty of Art and Architecture, University of Kurdistan. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind öffentliche Räume, kurdisch-iranische Städte, urbane Formen und urbane Nachhaltigkeit. Sein letztes Forschungsprojekt trägt den Titel A cross-cultural comparative study of women's interaction in public spaces in Iran and Iraq and a selection of European cities.
